When the nurse called me on Monday to let me know that the pregnancy test was positive, she also said that I could pick-up my prenatal vitamins. The hospital, pharmacy, doctor's office, etc. are all at Nellis AFB, which is about 20 minutes from where we live. However, that is not where I work. Ryan and I both work at Creech AFB which is about 45 minutes in the opposite direction. So, going to Nellis isn't always that convenient. I needed to go to this morning because there were some other appointments that I had, and I figured that would be the perfect time to pick-up my prescription.
To make a very long story short, beginning at 7:30 AM until 2:00 PM, I checked in with the pharmacy 5 different times. Apparently my doctor is new and doesn't know how to work the system for putting in prescriptions, or whatever he has to do. Needless to say, I was a little aggravated seeing as how I like to be in my place at Creech working on my work, not bouncing between Family Medicine and the pharmacy trying to figure out why I can't get my vitamins. I mean it's not like I was trying to pick-up narcotics!
I did get the vitamins and was even able to do a little bit of work before coming home. (Baby Deis and I also went by the BX and got Ryan a little surprise!) The receptionist at Family Medicine was very nice and helpful and assured me that giving birth will be much easier than it was to get my prescription filled. She BETTER be right!! :)
Our first OB appointment is 3 weeks from today. They described it as orientation, so we'll see what that has to bring. I'm really excited to know everything we can know. Hopefully Ryan will be able to tag along....he is the Daddy afterall!
